My name is Lauren Frazier and I am a follower of Christ, wife, and mother to 3 sons and a daughter. I was an active duty officer of the United Air Force for the 8 1/2 years. I medically retired in June 2020 from the Air Force and I now work as a Fitness and yoga instructor, I write devotionals professionally for a Christian Planner company and I am a Doula. I also graduated with my Master's in Social Work in May 2021.
I am the product of a very blended family and the oldest child. I have 7 brothers and sisters, half and step mixed, and I love them each as if we all came from the same two people and were raised in one big crazy house. However, that would not be the case for us. Our story is much longer but with a mountain of beautiful moments.
I am originally from Oahu, Hawaii. It is where I was born and the place I called home for the first 7 years of my life. I also grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi through my middle school and high school years. In line with that blended family, my father stayed in Hawaii and my mother in Mississippi. So I spent the last decade of my formative years going between Hawaii and Mississippi. Needless to say one of my least favorite questions is where are you from :) I'm from both. Both places have had immense and lasting impact and above all else when I return to either they both FEEL like home.
With the divide of my homes being so tremendous, it only seemed fair to split the distance for school and I landed at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Some of the best years of my life can all be found in Boulder, Colorado. More importantly most of the hard lessons in life, personal growth, and foundation of self can be found in the best decision for my 4 years at university. I also got to throw in a little study abroad and spent an amazing 5 months in Europe traveling, with my jumping off point being in Copenhagen, Denmark. College is also where I found my first life long friends that brought meaning to chosen family.
After I commissioned into the Air Force I found myself in the little town of Knob Noster, Missouri and I couldn't have been more depressed about the whole situation. But as you will discover in my blog......life is all about the little things. This is where I met my husband!!! 10 years and 4 beautiful children later we are thriving and couldn't be happier!
Fast forward 12 years...we lived in Missouri for 2 years. Kansas City is amazing!
We lived back on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi for 4 years. Got to raise one of my siblings from 16-18 and welcomed our first son.
We then moved to Washington, DC where we welcomed our second and third sons and not to forget, all the while we have had 1 sweet puppy dog. A beautiful and sweet black lab mutt named Forest.
After living in Providence, RI for a year we moved to Germany. Where we welcomed our fourth and last child, our daughter. We are now living in Tampa, FL and finding a new pace of life.
Thats me in a fairly short nut shell. I look forward to sharing my life with all of you and maybe even dive back into history and elaborate more on the stories of this little profile of me.
